This is for the broken hearts still beating.
This is for the lonely and confused still wishing upon a shooting star.
For those still holding onto the past.
Shake the Dust.
This is for the homeless man pushing a shopping cart down the highway.
This is for the drug dealers.
For those many mistakes.
Shake the Dust.
This is for the insecure ones who hid from the world.
This is for the girls 16 and pregnant,
having to raise her child alone.
This is for the fat girl who just joined weight watchers.
Shake the Dust.
This is for the tired and the dreamers
Dreaming dreams that will never happen
Because everytime they wake up in the morning
and see their reflection there's nothing but defeat.
That's right-- Shake the Dust!
This is for all the teachers that told me I'd never amount to nothing. 
To all the people who have lost a loved one
Even after 10 years, 5 months and 2 days,
Still mourn every single day
Still knows there no way.
Still waiting although it is so far away.
This is for the hopeless
This is for me.
This is for you.

Shake the Dust!
Because your running out of time. Time doesn't wait,
not for you, not for me. Not for anyone!
The dust is collecting..
building up more and more every single day you make
that decision. The decision to not to shake the dust.
Go ahead sit back, let life control you.
Or brush it off. Move on. Forgive and forget.
Shake it! Shake the dust so hard that the whole
universe quivers because now everyone knows nothing
can stop you!
